I met Chris at True Martial Arts over 15 years ago. In that time, thousands of students came and went. Chris is someone who really separated himself from the other faces in the crowd. I've seen talented martial artists. I've seen people willing to work hard and dedicate themselves to martial arts. I've seen people that could reach others through teaching martial arts. But I don't know if I've seen anyone quite like Chris that has excelled in all of those areas combined. Several years ago, Chris did a martial arts exhibition at my school that people still talk about. Chris and Tiffany are great people. I am very proud to be associated with them and I know they have what it takes to run a successful school and help improve people's lives through martial arts.

Mr. Aprecio is a true professional in the art of Taekwondo. He shares his knowledge in an effective and motivating manner keeping students engaged in every class and inspiring them to become better at what they do. He imparts his strong knowledge of self defense, and enjoys working with students of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds helping them to break through barriers they didn’t think they could. He believes classes should have a balance between: fun, safety, learning, and developing practical self defense skills. I have seeing and admire Mr. Aprecio strong, flexible, explosive and versatile martial arts skills. He is a fully qualified to teach Taekwondo, and devoted to keep on training and teaching students about what they can benefit from martial arts. He can do anything he can put his mind to - I am very proud of Mr. Aprecio.

Chris truly has a passion for the martial arts, one that transcends styles. Whether it’s kicking, striking, takedowns, grappling or weapons Chris has the desire to not only learn it all, but to teach it all. I have had the privilege of watching Chris progress in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu over the months and enjoy his attention to detail. He is always there to ask questions; always wanting to make sure his technique is done correctly. Finding a good instructor is hard enough but finding one who embraces multiple styles of martial arts and has the passion for it is even harder. With Chris you will find all three.

KariePArlington broke "Rookie Records" at Relay for Life 2010! What an amazing and memorable event to be a part of. Raising more than $225,000! Thanks to Trinity Martial Arts for your support and participation. Your "Family Team" was personable, your "Trinity Tent" impressionable and your professionalism left an impact on our community! We appreciate your donation of the 200 chopping blocks. Participants of all ages enjoyed the experience. As a "survivor" I found my "chopping" experience liberating. It was encouraging to share this experience with my 5 year old son and family. Thank you.

My interaction with Trinity owners Tiffany and Chris was both professional and personable. They made me feel like part of there extended family. I saw first hand there interaction with there students. There is a high level of expectations and respect. The students eagerly followed thru.

Its because of this positive experience I will be enrolling my 5 year old son into your Tiny Trinitys program. I saw first hand the level of discipline, respect, strength and honor. Its these core values our younger youth will benefit from and leave a lasting impact on our community.

Thank you Trinity for your participation and support in Relay for Life. Your organization is top of its class!

Chris has been such a joy for my child who was new to M/A that she enjoys class so much she talks about it for days before and days after. Chris is a wonderful teacher who works hard to be his best.

BriceColleenWatching a child's transformation in life is truly amazing!

Thanks to Chris and Tiffany at Trinity Martial Arts I have seen an amazing transformation in my son in a very short time. As a parent you know your child inside and out, you know they have the skills but learning to apply them to life in a positive way is hard to teach. Brice came into class as a shy child lacking in his personal self confidence. I have seen my son use the skills that he learned in class about respect and healthy ways to focus his energy into something positive. He is a more confident person and is becoming a stronger person both internally and externally.

Chris is a wonderful instructor that cares about the students. He has a wonderful way of seeing the potential in each student. He takes the time with each person to insure that their personal goals are met.

Brice is finding a new extended family in his martial arts classes. He looks forward to every class.

NoahJason My son Noah and I meet Chief Instructor Chris Aprecio at the Arlington street fair in July of 2009 and Noah won a free 2 week trial in a raffle that the Aprecios held.  Noah enjoyed his 2 week free lesson so much that he decided that Tae Kwon Do was something that he wanted to continue with.  It has now been 3 months since he has started and he continues to want to go to class everyday.  I attribute Noah's want to go to class to Chris's teaching style for kids.  Noah has never wanted to continue any sport, swimming, baseball or soccer after it was done but yet he continuously begs to go to his TKD class.

Noah has learned discipline, respect for himself and others, listening skills and better self control and he is only 5.  Watching my son enjoy it so much I decided that this is something I want to pursue also.  I too have now been learning TKD, Arnis and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in the 2 months I have been training with KBN Aprecio.  I am at an age that most people would already know what they want to do in life but not me.  Watching KBN Aprecio with the Tiny Trinity's and learning from him I have now figured out what it is that I want to do with my life for work, I want to teach Tae Kwon Do.  I and my family thank you KBN Aprecio.

JohnsonFamilyLast Friday night our twins Mathew and Markus preformed with Kyo Bum Nim Chris At their School Talent Show. One word – amazing! Mark and I could not believe what we saw. We were speechless. Only one year ago the talent show came and went. We encouraged the twins to preform the music, or dance. Battling shyness and confidence for several years it came as no surprise to hear a resounding “No Way”. 6 months later the twins joined Trinity Martial Arts and over the next few months we notice a major change develop in their self confidence. Fast forward now 6 months into Trinity Martial Arts the twins approached us with excitement wanting so bad to preform! Not only did they preform with Chris' leadership, but they wow'ed the crowed and us! My girlfriend emailed me to say “the boys where sensational at the talent show! My mom and dad both complimented them!” When they finished their performance I wanted to run back and hug Chris and thank him for the amazing transformation he has been a major part of. The rest of the night I was speechless and tearing. It has been a very long road battling shyness. Gowning up painfully shy it means so much to me. For the twins to tell us how much they love Trinity Martial Arts, Feel safe, and TMA is like a second family is the icing on the top! Thank you Chris and Tiffany, from the bottom of our hearts.

Sincerely Kris & Mark Johonson

JakeWaldenMy wife and I are very pleased with how things are going at your school for our son. I have to admit that at first I was skeptical whether Dylan would actually participate. In the past he has talked about doing different activities but when it came down to it he would back out. At one time we had him signed up and paid for a T-ball league but when we got to the first game he wanted nothing to do with it. That was a few years ago so of course he has grown and his confidence has increased but I was still very pleased to see him jump right in. When my wife told me Dylan had been given a free 2 week trial at Trinity and she told me it was in Smokey Point I had figured that if it turned out that Dylan really did enjoy it and wanted to continue after the 2 week trial we would bring him to another school closer to our home. But when I was finally able to see him in person during your class I quickly changed my mind. It didn’t take long for me to see how well you work with Dylan and the rest of the class. Anyone can play the part but I see the GENUINE care and passion you have for teaching. I’ve only been able to attend a few classes but every time I do I leave knowing we made the right choice.

Thanks,

Jake Walden

MoransOur daughter Laynie began Tae Kwon Do almost four years ago at the age of seven. Shortly after she began, she was invited to be on the Taigon Tae Kwon Do Junior Demonstration Team taught by Head Master Sung Soo Kim and Team Instructor Mr. Aprecio. This was a new beginning in Laynie’s life.
Laynie loves Tae Kwon Do, but she was very quiet, very bashful and had very little confidence. Her energy yells (kiup’s) were quiet; her body language expressed her uncertainty in herself. Working with Instructor Aprecio, taught her perseverance, which gave her skill, which in turn built her confidence. He would challenge her to try harder and to practice more, which she did because she admired him and his martial arts skill. Determined to be the best she would watch Mr. Aprecio studying his technique, and then take his advice. She practiced, and practiced. The demonstration team was given an opportunity to do a presentation at her elementary school. Mr. Aprecio was her partner. During the performance, a self-defense move showed everyone, that it is not your size that matters. It is the skills that you learn, that will help defend yourself. After the demonstration, kids she didn’t know would come up to her. “How did you do that? I want to learn to be able to do martial arts, that was so cool”. This was huge for her self-confidence and her appreciation for Mr. Aprecio grew. The demonstration team also participated in many other events such as Aquafest in Lake Stevens. Again building the confidence in those who participated and winning the praise of their peers and awards from the Aquafest judges.

Outside of the dojang (Tae Kwon Do school), Mr. Aprecio also showed Laynie that she was a part of something more. A martial arts family. I can remember when Laynie hosted a gathering at our dock and invited school friends, martial arts friends and of course the instructors. Mr. Aprecio was the first one there to show his support, and then a few other martial arts families arrived as well. The martial arts family doesn’t end at the door of your dojang either. You can feel the comradery even at competitions. You may be from different schools, but you are there to be your best and support one another. No one wants to hurt a fellow martial artist.

Martial arts are an incredible sport. They help build strong bodies, minds and integrity. They will develop friendships that will last a lifetime, and maybe even help defend your life or a loved one’s. Instructor Aprecio is amazing; as an instructor, as a martial artist and now as a friend. His dedication to our daughter has helped her grow into a wonderful , confident 10 year old black-belt. As much as we hated to see him leave our school, we celebrate his new beginning and hope you will too.

Sincerely,

The Moran Family
